Sodium Can be easily cut up with a knife. Floats and burns on water.
Magnesium Strips and powder catch fire easily. Burns underwater. Gives out hydrogen.
Aluminium Has a low density. Light-weight. Does not corrode in air.
Pottasium Can be easily cut up with a knife. Explodes with water.
Calcium Some effort needed to cut up with knife. Very reactive. Present in many compounds.
Iron Hard substance. Can be shaped to make a variety of strong hard objects. Can decompose into flakes of rust.
Copper Soft red-orange metal. Malleable. Very good conductor of heat.
Zinc Brittle blue-white metal. Does not corrode in air.
Silver Soft shiny white metal. Malleable. Ductile.
Mercury A shiny silver liquid.
