In 1962 which act did the conservatives pass? Commonwealth Immigration Act - only immigrants with work voucher could come to Britain. Aimed to restrict commonwealth immigrants who were unskilled.
In 1965/66 which act did the Labour party pass? Race Relations Act - illegal to discriminate against people due to race/colour. Lacked legal power to do anything and did not stop the housing & employment issue. Hard to enforce
