Equilibrium Position | the position where a body executing simple harmonic motion is at rest |
Cycle | a complete to and from movement |
Period | time taken for one complete oscillation |
Frequency | the number of complete oscillations per unit time |
Angular Frequency | the rate of change of angle |
Phase Difference | time interval or phase angle by which one wave leads or lags another |
Amplitude | maximum displacement from equilibrium position |
Interchange of energy in S.H.M | Potential energy is 0 at equilibrium position whilst kinetic energy is maximum. At maximum displacement i.e amplitude ,kinetic energy is 0 and potential energy is maximum |
