1. "Let me not" - Polite
2. "Marriage" - Life comittment & Union
3. "Marriage of true minds" - Metaphysical concept, more than souls connecting
4. "Love is not Love" - Repetition, subtlety changes, its Shakespeare.
5. "Love is not love which alters ..." - Have to read on, runs onto another.
6. "Which alters when it alteration finds" - Constant, doesn't change
7. "Or bends" - Chance of Movement
8. "O no it" - Sound of voice, hear speaker, declaration.
9. "Ever fixed mark" - Eternity
10. "Tempests" - Storm, violent, like a solid rock.
11. "It is the star" - Heaven, guided light, fixed eg. Northern Star
12. "Wand'ring bark" - Narrator, Shakespeare
13. "Love's not Time's fool" - Defeat time, timeless, personification.
14. "Rosy lips and cheeks"- Kids, defeat time by Wed & babies.
15. "Alters Not" - Starts with negative
16. "If" - Conditional Word
17. "I never writ, nor no man ever loved" - Anyone proves me wrong.
Hour
1. "Love's time's beggar" - Time Beating Love
2. "Beggar, Coin, Rich, Gold" - Money, extended metaphor throughout.
3. "Even a single hour etc" - Time is great together
4. "We" - Collective
5. "Whole of the summer sky and a grass ditch" - Metaphysical, earth as a whole.
6. "Thousands of seconds" - Time is elongated.
7. "We" - Multural
8. "Your hair like treasure" - Simile
9. "Turning your limbs to gold" - Glow of sun
10. "Time Slows" - Impact
11. "Nothing dark will end our shining hour" - Nothing matches what they have.
12. "Than here, Now" - Relevant, Immediate.
13. "Time hates love" - Emotion, Personification.
14. "Spins gold, gold, gold from straw" - Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale, love wins.
Sonnet 116 - Time no effect on love.
1. Hour - Time does effect but wins in the end.
