Surface Area And Volume Of Shapes

3D Shapes
1. Surface Area and Volume always use 3D Shapes. They never use 2D Shapes
Volume
1. The Units are always Cubed
2. When working out the volume times all the numbers together
  1. Example H:3 W:4 L:5
    1. 3x4x5 = 60cm3
Surface Area
1. The Units when working out surface area are always squared
2. When Working out the Surface Area times 2 number together but make sure each nuber is multiplied by every number
  1. On most occasins you may have to multiply it by 2
    1. You will find this out if there are two sides of the same hight, length and width
      1. After all numbers are multiplied add them all together to get the Surface Area
  2. Example H:3 W:4 L:5
    1. 3x5x2
      1. 30cm2
        30=
        94cm2
        This is the surface area of this shape!
    2. 3x4x2
      1. 24cm2
        24+
    3. 5x4x2
      1. 40cm2
        40+
