    1. Types of manager
      1. According to your work personality
        1. Sunrise manager
          1. has a view towards the future, a progressive, leading edge, technology minded. Look for GROWTH.
          2. Sunset manager
            1. works in the here and now fighting fires. STABILIZE current situations.
          3. According to their attitude toward their subordinates
            1. Authoritorian manager
              1. is secretive, has his/her finger in everything and prefers tell than ask. "Theory X manager".
              2. Participative manager
                1. values employees opinions, spend more time listinen than talking,looks for ideas from the bottom up but makes the final decision. "Theory Y manager".
                  1. tends to empower employees to make their own decisions and let them implement their own ideas. "Theory Z manager".
                2. The 5 C's
                  1. Cash manager
                    1. is focused on costs and budgets. risk adverse, stability, short term profitability and is opposed to replace a something with a new one due to cost.
                    2. Crisis manager
                      1. looks at problems as a disruption that needs to be conquered, attacks problems. Don't fix it if isn't broken.
                      2. Conflict manager
                        1. looks at the work place as a battlefield of competing players. Mantains the upper hand (control and intimidate).
                        2. Cool manager
                          1. believes that the work force is best motivated by giving them whatever they want. wichy-washy mananagment style(confusing).
                          2. Change manager
                            1. search for challenges in competitiviness, positive, goal focused changes. Problems are an opportunity for change.
                          3. Boss
                            1. directs employee traffic, stability, gobernance. " Do as I say".
                            2. Leader
                              1. shows the way using exampley by stepping out into the traffic in front of the employees. Lead out and search for a difference. " Do as I do".
