  1. These are small questions at the end of sentence, do we use them when we want to confirm something or do we want to know if something is true or not
    1. If the main sentence is affirmative, the tag question is negative
      1. If the main sentence is negative, the question is affirmative
        1. *They are more common when speaking than when writing
      2. form with the auxiliary or modal verb of the main sentence plus a personal pronoun
        1. SOME OF THE QUESTION TAGS ARE:
          1. yes?
            1. oh,yeah?
              1. no?
            2. oh,no?
              1. really?
              2. Example:
                1. Mary is cooking, isn"t she?
                  1. Mary isn"t cooking,is she?
            3. If we are sure or almost sure that the listener confirmed that our clarification is correct, we say the question label with a decent intonation
              1. If we are a little less sure we say the question label with increasing intonation
                1. Sometimes there is no auxiliary verb already in the statement. For example ,when...
                  1. the verb in the statement is present simple or past simple and is positive. Here we use don"t, doesn"t or didn"t.
