      1. Eat together
        1. Family meals are a reassuring routine for the whole family

          2. Healthy food builds children who think more clearly, are less prone to illness, and are stronger.
            1. Children who eat healthfully may live longer, healthier lives
              1. can prevent obesity
                1. Serve a vaeriety of food
                  1. Don't serve always the same menu
                    1. Always put fruits and vegetables
                    2. Change and purchase a food
                      1. Try to aim for different colors and textures
                          1. Avoid processed foods
                            1. Processed foods
                              1. Refined products
                                    1. Are easily overeaten, stored as fat, and cause rapid changes in blood sugar
                                    2. Whole grains, nuts, and honey have more staying power and are digested more slowly so that they provide the energy a child needs to make it through the day
                                        1. Keep healthy foods convenient
                                          1. Have fruits and vegetables pre-washed and ready on the counter
                                            1. Limit portions. Teach your children moderation, and practice it yourself
                                              1. Show them what an appropriate portion size is for them, and teach them self control when they want more.
