Resumen del Recurso

linear equations in two variables
  1. Linear equations in one variable have one and only one solution.

    Nota:

    • You have already learnt this!
    1. 2x+8-4=6 etc
    2. Linear equations in two variables may have more than one solution

      Nota:

      • You are learning about this now!
      1. Ex: 1.2s+3t=5, p+4q=7 et cetera
      2. Solutions of linear equations does not change when the same number is subtracted or added to both LHS and RHS
        1. or when you multiply or divide both sides by a non-zero number
        2. Any equation which can be put in the form ax+by+c=0, where a, b and c are real numbers and a and b are both non-zero, is called a linear equation in two variables.
