Soccer Science Connection's
  1. Earth Science
    1. Explain how sedimentary rock is formed (embedding plant and animal remains and leaving a record of the sequence in which plants and animals disappeared)
      1. Hall of Fame because it tell us who all the great players were who had left a mark or record when they had played,. the Tv because we could watch soccer and learn about it. Newspaper’s because it can tell us how the game had went and who won and who lost if you can’t watch tv
    2. Physics
      1. Identify and relate formal ideas (Newton’s Laws) about the interaction of force and motion to real world experiences.
        1. The soccer ball relates to Newton’s law because he states what stays in motion stays in motion until acted on by an outside force like a soccer player kicking the ball and making it move
      2. Astronomy
        1. Recognize and explain the effects of the tilt of the Earth’s axis.
          1. The ball also rotates like how the earth does when it is kicked right.
        2. Biology
          1. Recognize and describe that evolutionary change in species over time occurs as a result of genetic variation in organisms and environmental changes.
            1. Soccer has evolved over the years like humans have by getting new leagues and making the FIFA WORLD CUP for teams around the world to participate in
          2. Chemistry
            1. Describe how the motion of atoms and molecules in solids, liquids, and gases changes as heat energy is increased or decreased.
              1. When the ball is kicked it could cause friction and when it is not the atoms in it are not moving and it gets colder
            2. Thermodynamics
              1. Describe and cite evidence that heat can be transferred by conduction, convection and radiation.
                1. The force of the kick can make it curve or go at full speed like a bullet
              2. Environmental Issues
                1. Recognize and explain how human activities can accelerate or magnify many naturally occurring changes.
                  1. Making A SOCCER BALL USES THE STUFF WE HAVE SO WHEN THEY MAKE IT THEY USE MATERIALS AND IT CAN ALSO RELEASE Co2 IN THE AIR
