    1. Methodology that results in a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity.
      1. It's designed to help build a quality work environment, both physically and mentally.
      2. Seiri
        1. To separate needed tools, parts, and instructions from unneeded materials and to remove the unneeded ones.
          1. Seiton
            1. To neatly arrange and identify parts and tools for ease of use.
              1. Seiso
                1. To conduct a cleanup campaign.
                  1. Seiketsu
                    1. To conduct seiri, seiton, and seiso daily to maintain a workplace in perfect condition.
                      1. Shitsuke
                        1. To form the habit of always following the first four S’s.

                                      1. Potential Six Sigma projects are identified and should be evaluated by management to avoid underutilization of resources.
                                        1. Measurement
                                          1. Process characterization by identifying key customer requirements, key product characteristics and parameters that affect process performance and characteristics.
                                            1. Analysis
                                              1. The team analyzes current and historical outcome data. Hypotheses about possible cause-effect relationships are developed and tested using relevant statistical tools.
                                                1. Improvement
                                                  1. The team tries to determine the cause-effect relationship to predict, improve and optimize the performance of the process.
                                                    1. Control
                                                      1. It consists of designing and documenting the necessary controls to ensure that what has been achieved through the Six Sigma project is maintained once the changes have been implemented.
