Whether your fear is rational or irrational, practical or abstract, or over something big or small we all fear something. I've
always thought of fear as being something one dreads encountering.. While popular examples of fear are that of needles,
clowns, etc. fear can also be of becoming a certain person (i.e. greedy/selfish) or facing a certain circumstance (i.e.
failure/rejection),. In my opinion, fear is the biggest factor in our insecurities and fears of rejection and failure are often the
things that keep us from fulfilling our potential. On the other hand, fear plays a big part in keeping us safe.

While fear plays a big role in keeping us physically safe, for example reminding us to look both ways before you
cross the street, it also keeps us safe from bad decisions. For example, the fear of failure and punishment also
pushes us to study for that history test we have next week. In conclusion, fear is a double-sided emotion, for it
can be the obstacle keeping us from self-fulfillment but also the stepping stone towards success. Below is a list
of fears that I find can affect people at some point in their life either negatively or positively.
