Advantages
Clear to understand
Lots of Detail
Disadvantages
need to be able to read and undestand the language
level of detail can be confusing
Lots of text cannot be read quickly

Advantages
Multilingual, do not need to be able to read a language
Can match what you see with physical shapes
Disadvantages
Confusing if you dont know the symbol
some symbols do not mean the same thing in different countries

Advantages
No fixed posistion
No line of sight required
Good for visually impaired people
Disadvantages
No good in large areas
Usually language based
May not know the sound
Need to be able to hear

Advantages
Lots of information conveyed
Not language dependant
Disadvantages
Problems if sound attatched
Linear, if you do not see the start you may not understand it
