1. Leonato

   Nota:

   • Leonato is the father of Hero, the uncle of Beatrice, and the brother of Antonio. Leonato is good friends with Don Pedro. 
   3. Benedick

      Nota:

      • Benedick is a soldier who is friends with Claudio and Don Pedro. After the first wedding, Leonato and Benedick become closer since Benedick stood up for Hero. Benedick is the lover of Beatrice, despite their war of wit.
      1. Claudio

         Nota:

         • Claudio, a soldier alongside Don Pedro and Benedick, is the lover of Hero, but Claudio accused Hero of being "Venus" instead of "Diane in her orb".
2. Beatrice

   Nota:

   • Beatrice is the niece of Antonio and Leonato. She is also the cousin of Hero. Although her lover is Bendick, Beatrice uses Benedick in sarcastic arguments.

      Nota:

      • Antonio is the brother of Leonato and the uncle of Hero and Beatrice.
      1. Hero

         Nota:

         • Hero is the lover of Claudio. She is the niece of Antonio, the daughter of Leonato, and the cousin of Beatrice as well.

            Nota:

            • Ursula is Hero's lady in waiting (maid).
         3. Margaret

            Nota:

            • Margaret is Hero's maid. Margaret is also the lover of Borachio.
            1. Borachio

               Nota:

               • Borachio, who is the lover of Margaret, is the right hand man of Don John.
   2. 1. Don Pedro

         Nota:

         • Don Pedro, also known as "The Prince", is a long time friend of Leonato. Don Pedro is also friends with Claudio and Benedick. Don Pedro is the brother of Don John as well.

Nota:

• Don John, the brother of Don Pedro, is connected to Borachio and Conrade. Don John is the reason for the tragic death of Hero later on in MAAN.

2. Conrade

   Nota:

   • Conrade is the close friend of Don John, and he helps Don John with his plans.

Nota:

• Dogberry is the chief policeman of Messina. Dogberry tends to confuses his words a lot.
