                1. 90 mil. girls have no education
                  1. 2/3 of 867 illiterate are women
                    1. Almost 1 in 5 girls don't complete primary education
              2. USAID - ICT removed from women due to low levels
                1. Without ICT (& Significance) women marginalized
                  1. Lack of ed. isn't related to lack of places in schools
                    1. Arise from expectations & attitudes of families
                      1. Economic costs/traditions/cultural beliefs limit educational opportunities
            2. Developed World
              1. Employment
                1. Women's opportunities differ massively to men
                  1. Frequently treated unequally - sexual harrassments and/ wage discrimination
                    1. May occur through hiring process - men hired over women with equal skills
                      1. Work Foundation - 1 in 100 women worked in skilled trades (2011) compared to 1 in 5 men
                        1. E.g. of Gendered Division - Teaching Industry
                          1. Despite less men in teaching, they occupy higher status roles
                            1. Reinforced by gendered stereotypes for child care - leads to men prioritising careers early
