Both the
women and
her cousin
are linked
through the
man
The man used the woman as
an object and gets her
pregnant then moves on to her
cousin
The poem uses natural imagery which makes us think of her as a strong and
healthy women but after the man leaves her natural imagery is no longer used
which gives us the impression that she is unhappy and unhealthy
The woman blames herself for
what happened-it was Victorian
times and women were not
important
