Static and Dynamic Information
  1. Static
    1. Information that shows little or no change.
      1. Example: Census, the information will not change until the next census is conducted.
        1. Advantages: Usually checked for accuracy so often more reliable than dynamic sources, can be used without access to the internet.
          1. Disadvantages: If held on a CD the information can get lost or damaged, if a mistake is found then the whole thing needs to be made again.
          2. Dynamic
            1. Information that is continuously being changed.
              1. Example: A website that is updated on a regular basis.
                1. Advantages: Can be updated quickly and easy, a large number of people can access it at one time.
                  1. Disadvantages: Changes can be made quickly so mistakes can go unnoticed, information may be biased or completely wrong.
