7. 1887; The National American Woman Suffrage Association was created by combining organizations, with Anthony as vice-president and Stanton as president
8. Stanton was involved in the Seneca Falls Convention
9. NAWSA kept lobbying; 4 states extended franchise; Washington, California, Kansas, Oregon
10. Alice Paul
  1. 1910; returned from England, became leader in suffragist movement
  2. Joined woman's suffrage movement in Britain; served jail time on multiple occasions & went on hunger strikes
  3. Served of chair at National American Woman Suffrage Associations meetings
  4. Formed National Woman's Party with Lucy Burns
  5. Members of the NWP picketed the White House
  6. 1920; Leading role in Women earning the right to vote
  7. March 3, 1913, leading role in the Suffrage Parade
  8. 1916; picketed the white house

4. Submissive; be willing to your husband
5. Passive bystander, don't speak up
