Scientific Method

• Make a plan.  Design and experiment that will help answer your question. Write the step by step procedure,. Include variables  and constants.

• Do background research.  Learn more about your topic. Use the internet, library, or interviews to collect more information about the topic you are interested in.

• Decide on a research question. Base your question on something you observed. Make sure your question can be tested with an experiment.

• Conduct the experiment. Gather the materials needed and do the experiment.

Nota:

• Develop a Hypothesis. Based on your research, predict a possible answer to your question. This is just and educated guess.

Nota:

• Collect and record all the results. Use tables, charts, or graphs to organize data. 

Nota:

• Analyze the data and results. Compare with the hypothesis and write results with data collected and conclusions made.
