      • want to prevent the country splitting into rich and poor nations- fear revolution above all.

• Humans are naturally social and co-operative creatures. Believe society works best through co-operation. Eqaulity is the fundamental principle of socialism. sociey works better without class divisions.

      • mixed economy- some industries private and others nationalised to support eqaulity
