HOW TO CREATE A PROS AND CONS ESSAY

1st step
1. Introduce your topic. Explain you are exploring disadvantages or advantages
  1. A thesis isn't necessary as you are not trying to persuade anyone
    1. Techniques to interest the reader:
      1. A reference to an imaginary scene
      2. a quotation
      3. a rhetorical question
      4. adressing the reader
2nd step
1. Main Body (usually 2 paragraphs)
  1. 1st paragraph
    1. Point FOR the issue with justifications
  2. 2nd pagraph
    1. Points against the issue with justifications
3rd step
1. FInal paragraph
  1. state a personal opinion
  2. give the reader something to consider
  3. use a quotation or rethorical question
Important things to take on account
1. Write a list of advantages and disadvantages of your topic
  1. Plan the way you are putting them in the essay
2. Use transitions
  1. despite
  2. nevertheless
  3. yet
  4. however
  5. althouh
