LIVING THINGS MAP
  1. CARRY OUT THE BASIC LIFE PROCESSES.
    1. INTERACTION
      1. To detect information in their environment and react to it

        Nota:

        • .- Animals defend their territory..- Plants get the sunlight .- People use the five senses
      2. NUTRITION
        1. To take essential nutrients fronm the environment to grow and develop.
        2. REPRODUCTION
          1. To create new members of their own species in a specific way.
        3. ARE MADE UP OF CELLS
          1. ANIMAL CELLS
            1. NUCLEUS
              1. Controls everything that happens inside the cells
              2. CYTOPLASM
                1. It has special organelles that carry out life processes

                  Nota:

                  • For example, they carry out nutrition by transforming nutrients into energy
                  1. It is a thick, clear liquid protected by the membrane.
                  2. MEMBRANE
                    1. It surrounds and protect the cell.
                  3. PLANT CELLS
                    1. NUCLEUS
                      1. CYTOPLASM
                        1. with CHLOROPLASTS that contain chlorophyll

                          Nota:

                          • Chlorophyll is a green liquid that carries out photosynthesis by transforming sunlight and nutrients into energy
                          1. They have a VACUOLE whic is like a bag to store food and water

                            Nota:

                            • When a plant doesn't have enough water, the vacuole empties, the plant loses its rigid structure and begins to wilt
                          2. MEMBRANE
                            1. Plants have a rigid cell wall around the mebrane

                              Nota:

                              • This cell wall helps to support the plant
                              • This rigid cell wall helps support the plant
                          3. Many cells together form a TISSUE with a specific function
                            1. Different tissues form an ORGAN
                              1. Groups of organs that work together to perfom a function form a SYSTEM
