          2. The Treaty of Versailles
            1. It was a surprise - they thought it would be based on Wilson's 14 points

                              1. French and Belgium invaded Ruhr
                                1. Workers = passive resistance but still paid

                                    1. Losers those with savings and paid monthly

                                      1. Hitler and Nazis try to take power by force
                                        1. Threatened Bavaria state leader at gunpoint
                                          1. Ended because army supported Weimar
                                            1. Sent to prison - Landsberg Fortress - 5 years
                                              1. He wrote Mein Kampf
