      1. To absorb water and minerals from the soil

      1. Has long and thin hair
  2. Paliside cells
    1. Function
      1. To absorb light for photosynthesis
    2. Adaptaion
      1. They have a lot of chloroplasts
2. Animal Cells
  1. Ciliated Epithelial Cell
    1. Function
      1. Keeps the trachea (windpipe) clear of thengs like dust
    2. Adaptation
      1. Has tiny cilia, hair which brush away dirt
  2. Nerve Cells (Neurons)
    1. Function
      1. They conduct messages around the body
    2. Adaptation
      1. Are shaped like wires
        The information goes past quicker
  3. Red Blood Cell
    1. Function
      1. Carries oxygen around the body
    2. Adaptation
      1. They have no nucleus
      2. They have a large surface area
        More area to absorb and to release oxygen
  4. White Blood Cell
    1. Function
      1. To protect the body and engulf and destroy bacteria and other harmful microbes
    2. Adaption
      1. Their cytoplasm can flow so they move around mor easily

    1. Controls what leaves and enters the cell
