Monotheistic Religion

Nota:

  • This is the religion which believe in 1 single god. Roman was first in polytheism, and then the Judaism come and CHANGE the original idea of Roman, so that is why Roman become Judaism and Christianity today.
  1. Judaism
    1. Torah

      Nota:

      • This is a sacred text book. It recorded the origins of Judaism and its basic laws.
      1. Abraham

        Nota:

        • Father of Judaism. The one who believe in 1 single god. He has a sacred agreement, or covenant, between God and Abram. God promised to favor and protect Abraham's descendent, meaning his children and the generations that would follow.
        1. Moses

          Nota:

          • -The greatest leader of the Hebrew -led the Hebrews out of slavery in Egypt (Exodus) - Gave them God's laws to live by(Ten Commandments) -
          1. Ten Commandments

            Nota:

            • There are 10 rules. The most important rules is "You shall have no other God before me" Set aside one day a week, the Sabbath, for rest and worship.
          2. Kind David

            Nota:

            • He is the king of Israel.  -He expand the kingdom of Israel. defeat of the Philistines as well as other enemies.-
            1. King Solomon

              Nota:

              • The son of David.  Built the great temple for Jerusalem. He told God that all of the people will know his name because he built the temple. 
          3. Christianity

            Nota:

            • This is the religion which inspired by Judaism. The people who believe in Christianity is pray for Jesus.
            1. Jesus

              Nota:

              • Jesu was the god that Christians believe in.  The birthplace of Christianity was a remote territory on the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea, which is the place that Jesus was born. No one knows when exactly Jesus was born. The gospel of Luke tells the story of Jesus. One of the angels told Mary(Jesus's mom) she should name him Jesus, and it is a boy.  Emperor Augustus ordered a count, of all the people in the empire. Each man was supposed to go the  town of his birth to be counted. Jesus called small number to be his followers or disciples.His teaching was based on traditional Jewish belief. But the gospels say he put special emphasis on love and mercy. There are two most important laws. First one is "You shall love your God with all your heart and all your soul" Second one is "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" One of Jesus' favorite way of teaching is to use parable. Parable is the story which explain with moral or religious.
              1. Crucifixion

                Nota:

                •    After 2 years of traveling, and preaching, Jesus went to Roman's celebration called Passover, but Roman think that Jesus was here to destory their religion so they want to killed him, and he knows that his enemies want to killed him. Jesus's disciples had decide to betray him, and that is the night that Jesus and his disciples's last dinner, it is called "the Last Supper). The Roman put  him on the cross, and use pushpin to put Jesus on the cross, and some of his disciples doesn't want Jesus to died, so they fought with Roman, but they loss, and they also got on to the cross and died.  
                1. Resurrection

                  Nota:

                  • After Jesus died for 2 day, he come back, and told the disciples, and then after few day, he left again, so this is why it is called resurrection. This is very important for the Christians because this is how Christians trust more on Jesus.  Jesus come back and stay beside his disciples. This is also why Christianity keep on rising.
                2. Passover

                  Nota:

                  • A celebration of Roman. This is one of the biggest celebration in Roman.
