          1. childhood memory is hard to overcome. and that is why sunlight is repeated for this is her image of her city from childhood/memories.

                1. combined affect of reflecting the chaos of the place she loves
                2. the final stanza is longer showing that she doesn't want to leave the city for she loves it so much. theres also alot of caesura in the last stanza to show confinement in the "city of walls"

                    1. repetition."sunlight" is positive and every stanza end on this positive view. it is repeated again which shows that this is what she sees of the place and her passion for the place overpowers the negative view "branded by.. sunlight" juxtaposition of negative and positive imagery.
                      1. repetition of"they" sounds threatening. the narrator being
                        1. personification of city "comes to me..lies down..brush its hair" imagery of romance shows how mcuh she loves the city
                          1. quite a lot of contrast. constant conflict between memory and reality. agressive language in the form of the power of humans or the power of place against power of memory. "graceful slopes glow/tanks.. frontiers"
