  1. What is a parabola?
    1. A parabola is a curve where any point is at an equal distance from: a fixed point (the focus ), and a fixed straight line (the directrix ).
    2. What is the vertex of a parabolas?
      1. The vertex (where the parabola makes its sharpest turn) is halfway between the focus and directrix.
      2. What is a parabola´s axis of symmetry?
        1. The axis of symmetry (goes through the focus, at right angles to the directrix)
        2. What is the equation of a parabola?
          1. The equation used is the standard equation that has the form (y- k)2 = 4a(x - h)
            1. ax2+bx+c=0
