Exeter Rebellion 1068

4 miles from Exeter a delegation came and negotiated with William
gave William hostages as exchange for co-operation

William not happy-blinded a hostage :(
made tunnels under north gate
after 18 days the wall collapsed
entered city & citizens surrendered
citizens swore on holy relics not to harm people or the city
