    1. Aum - Symbolises Brahman
      1. Sound of creation which continues throughout life and death
        1. Day begun by uttering Om.
          1. Chanted when starting work or going on a journey
            1. Aum - Sanskrit for all
              1. Ome - Latin for all
              2. Symbol drawn on tongue at birth to bring Aum into their life.
              3. All Powerful, All Knowing, Everywhere
                1. Responsible for making life, preserving life and destroying to allow new life
                2. Trimurti
                  1. Brahma - Creator
                    1. Four heads, two hands, sits in lotus, meditating, holds goblets and beads, one of the least worshipped gods
                    2. Vishnu - Preserver
                      1. Blue, sits on a curled-up, many headed cobra, 4 hands, holds discus, big snail shell and mace, wears crown, worshipped by about 1/4 of Hindus
                      2. Shiva - Destroyer
                        1. Holds any of: hourglass-shaped rattle drum, a deer and flames, often has an upraised hand, surrounded by fire, one of the most worshipped gods
                      3. Atman
