  1. It is caused by uncontroled cell growth and division
    1. Malignant
      1. Tumor grows and spreads into healthy tissues
        1. Tumor can move through the blood stream or lymphatic system
          1. Dangerous
            1. Cancerous
            2. Benign
              1. Tumor grows until there is no more room for it to
                1. Isn't normaly dangerous
                  1. Tumor stays in one place
                    1. isn't Cancerous
                  2. Risk Factors - having or doing one of these does not guarantee that someone will develop cancer it just increases the risk.
                    1. Smoking
                      1. Can cause lung, mouth, bowel, stomach and cervical cancer
                      2. Obesity
                        1. Can cause bowel, liver and kidney cancer
                        2. UV exposure
                          1. Can increase the chance of skin cancer
                          2. Viral Infection
                            1. Hepititus B and C can cause liver cancer
                              1. Infection of certain diseases can lead to certain cancers
                            2. Genetics
                              1. Certain genetic traits lead to a higher risk of cancer.
                                1. Mutations in the BRCA gene have been linked to a higher likelyhood of breast and ovarian cancer.
