After you have served the main course, you can:
ignore the table till the guests have finished eating their meal
relax and wait for the customers to indicate they have finished their meal
go back to the table and check that all is ok
Go to the bar and assist in pouring drinks
Bread at dinner time is served before the drinks are served
After the food order is taken, the waiter will:
adjust the cutlery if an entree is ordered
take the order straight to the chef in the kitchen
In the Sequence of Service dessert is served after:
the table is cleared, glasses removed and table crumbed
the main course plates are cleared
cruets are removed
side plates and glasses are cleared
