If I were to speak upon the traditions and beliefs of a religion I do not practice, this etic perspective would be more theoretical. In Bentham’s article, he talks about his views of Christianity from the outside, his theories and opinions about why he believes Christianity isn’t believable. His perspectives are given from what he has read and researched, not what he has experienced first-hand as a true believer and follower.
