Applicant: Yes, I do
Interviewer: Could you please press your right hand, four fingers on the scanner? Thank you.
Interviewer: Mr. John Doe is your fiancé right? How did you meet him?
Applicant: I met John on Facebook in August 2015. We spoke to each other online, by phone, and by email for about 2 months, and John came to visit me in Thailand around Oct 2015. He stayed with me for 6 weeks. We got engaged at that time.
Interviewer: Has he met your parents?
Applicant: Yes, he's met my parents and my siblings.
Interviewer: What does John do for work?
Applicant: He is a high school history teacher. He has been a teacher for about 17 years.
Interviewer: Has he ever been married? Do you know how many times?
Applicant: He was married twice before. His first marriage lasted about 5 years and his second lasted about 10 years.
Interviewer: Does he have any children?
Applicant: He has 2 children with his first wife and none with his second wife.
Interviewer: When did he divorce his former wives?
Applicant: He divorced his second wife in 2010. I'm not sure when he divorced his first wife.
Interviewer: How old are his children?
Applicant: The eldest child is 17 years old and the second child is 14 years old. They both live with their mom but John sees them often.
Interviewer: When will you marry John?
Applicant: We will marry in April
Interviewer: Do you know where?
Applicant: He said at a church in Los Angeles
Interviewer: Will your parents and families also attend?
Applicant: We had a small ceremony here in Thailand so my parents will not come to the ceremony in the US.
Interviewer: Ok, Ms. Somjai. I am going to ask you a very personal question. Are you, or have you ever, been a prostitute?
Applicant: No, never.
Interviewer: Ok. Do you have your police certificate, birth certificate, and medical report?
Applicant: I didn't know I needed to submit those documents. I will as soon as possible.
