Why did the banks became important? | Because of their improved system and new payment and lending methods (it was easier to make transactions). |

Describe each state. | - Nobility: still with privileges, but less political power; - Clergy: still with privileges, but less political power; - Peasants/ common workers: better economic situation, no longer serfs; - Bourgeoisie: divided into high (better economic situation and power and social influence) and petite (were craftworkers and modest merchants who often came into conflict with high bourgeoisie because of the participation in the government of the cities). |
