Hepatitis B Vaccine/ HBIG Route & Dose IM Thigh .5mL
Hepatitis B Vaccine/ HBIG Class & Action Vaccine Prophylaxis treatment against this viral disease that attacks the liver * Most commonly given a prophylaxis therapy for infants born to HepB surface antigen positive mother. The carrier state can be prevented in about 75% of newborns given HBIG immediately after birth (1hour). Potential carrier infant should be immunix=zed with HepB vaccine (.5mL IM) within 12 hours (separate site) and again at 1 and 6 months.
