Question Answer
Law of Orbits (ellipses) The planets don't rotate in a circular pattern, but an ovular, or elliptical pattern, with two focal points (one being the sun). The equation for this is r(1)+r(2)=2xa
Law of Equal Area The speed of planets gets faster as they get closer to the sun and their speed slows when they get farther away from the sun.
Law of Periods/Harmonies The farther away a planet's ellipse is from the Sun, the longer it will take for it to get all the way around the Sun (one period/year).
