Stimulus- when we react to something in our surroundings. Senses- sight hearing smell touch taste
Central nervous system is the brain,spinal cord, and neurons. Brain- contains nerve cells/neurons Spinal cord- contains nerves that send messages to and from the brain. sensory nerves carry messages to the brain. motor nerves carry messages from the brain.
Parts of the eye- Iris- controls the amount of light let in. Lens- focuses light on the retina Retina-absorbs light, allows us to see and the image received by the retina is backwards before reaching the brain.
Optic nerve; sends a message from the eye to the brain. The image from the retina is sent to the brain through the optic nerve. Cornea- allows light to pass through Ciliary muscle changes the shape of the lens by contracting or relaxing.
