Stimulus is anything in our surroundings that causes us to take action. A response is the action taken because of the stimulus. SENSES-sight,hearing,touch taste and smell. SENSE ORGANS-eyes, ears, skin, tongue and nose.
CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM is the brain and spinal cord. It contains nerves called motor and sensory nerves. Sensory nerves carry messages to the brain and spinal cord and motor nerves carry messages from the brain, spinal cord. THE EYE; cornea, pupil, iris, lens, ciliary muscle, retina, optic nerve. The cornea detects the light and the pupil lets light into the eye. The iris controls the amount of light let in and is the colored part of the eye.
The lens focuses the light on the retina and the ciliary muscles change the shape of the lens by contracting or relaxing. The retina absorbs the light receives and allows us to see and the optic nerve carries the message from the eye to the rain.
