Question Answer
Square This is defined as having all sides equal, and its interior angles all right angles (90°)
Area of a Square The area of a square is the side length squared: Area = a2 (a × a)
Rectangle A rectangle is a four-sided shape (quadrilateral) where every angle is a right angle (90°). Also opposite sides are parallel and of equal length.
Area of a Rectangle The formula for Area of a Rectangle (see image)
Cube A cube is a three-dimensional figure which is box shaped and has six square faces which meet each other at right angles. It has eight vertices and 12 edges.
Cube: Surface Area and Volume Surface Area of a Cube: 6 x a2 Volume of a Cube: a3 (a x a x a)
Triangle A shape that is made up of three lines and three angles. Types: Acute, Obtuse, Right Angle, Equilateral, Isosceles, and Scalene
Area of a Triangle Area of a Triangle = 1/2 x bh b = base h = perpendicular height
