Enjambment Continuation of a sentence over a line or stanza. Used for emphasis and having an idea continued over a line
Caesura A break in a line or stanza used to separate ideas. Usually with some kind of punctuation, often a full stop
Personification Giving something that is not a person human-like qualities
Metaphor A language technique where qualities or description are applied to things which do not literally share the qualities. Used for an explanation of events that happen
Alliteration Amazing Alliteration is used to draw attention to certain phrases and words which precede or follow these phrases. Extra emphasis
