Question Answer
Geothermal energy Energy that comes from the heat of rocks beneath the earth's surface .
Hydroelectric power Contained in flowing water.
Wave power Like the heat from the earth's surface is released and is replaced by cold air , causing wind.
Nuclear power stations Uranium is used to heat water and release energy to power our homes.
Fossil fuels Coal - made from dead plants millions of years ago that were squashed by the mud Natural gas and oil - made from dead sea creatures millions of years ago also squashed by mud.
Global warming Caused by green house gases ( e.g. fossil fuels are burnt and release carbon dioxide) that take in the sun's heat .
