Question Answer
What is evaporation? When heat is used to evaporate liquid solvent, leaving behind solute.
What is condensation? When evaporated liquid solvent is condensed to retrieve it from evaporation.
What is crystallisation? When solution becomes so concentrated from evaporation that solute forms crystals.
What is distillation? When evaporation is used to separate solvent from solute, then evaporated solvent is retrieved using condensation.
Examples of evaporation? Clothes on drying rack dry from evaporation. After swimming in salt water, water on skin evaporates.
Examples of distillation? Separation crude oil into petrol, diesel etc. Water cycle(water from sources evaporates, condenses into clouds.
