What do we mean by omission? A letter has been missed out of the word. Example - I can't go to the park today.
What do we mean by possession? Where something ' belongs' to someone. Example - Mr Green's shoes.

Correct or Incorrect? I dont think it's a good idea to walk home alone. Incorrect I don't think it's a good idea to walk home alone.. The i'ts is correct but 'don't' also needs an apostrophe.
Correct or Incorrect? The childrens books were in the cupboard. Incorrect The children's books were in the cupboard. The apostrophe shows the books belong to the children.
Correct or Incorrect? The car's are red. Incorrect The cars are red. This is just a plural and we don't use apostrophes for plurals.
Correct or Incorrect? The player's boots were filthy. Correct The boots belong to the players so we need an apostrophe to show possession.
