Intersection point I is the intersection point of the two straights
Tangent Distance TP1–I & TP2-I are the Tangent distance
Circular curve (arc) TP1–P-TP2 is the circular curve (Arc) between the two tangent points
Circular Curve (arc) contd. Lc is the length of the circular curve = Arc Length P is the mid-point of the circular curve
Long Chord S is the mid-point of the long chord PS is Height of Long Chord
Deflection angle β β = Deflection Angle + = right hand curve - = left hand curve
Radius R is the Radius of Curvature of the circular curve
External distance External Distance = PI
