Genre | We believe that are chosen genre of thriller and sub genre of crime thriller would attract more audience preferences. This is because it can include many aspects and still have a clear convention e.g. action , comedy etc. For example The Family opening is very much violent and focusing on the background. However the rest of the film focuses on more of the comedy side. |
Charcter | We believe our character is the main convention when attracting our target audience. Our main character is an antagonist who's played by a young female. Their role in the narrative is deviant from other typical thriller that's why our audience would be attracted to find out what her plans are and what happens to her. As she's a young character this would attract our target audience as they can relate to the antagonist and begin to build a relationship with her role. |
Camera and Editing Work | As shown is question one we used a range of camera shots and editing which helps to highlight key information for the audience. For example we used close-ups to focus on a specific part of the narrative i.e. the knife. We also included flashbacks which made our production flow fluently and interest the audience. |
Location and Costume | The location and costume were both thriller conventions. The costume would attract the audience as there are two complete opposite ones which represented the antagonist changing her identity . This would attract the audience as they would want to see what happened next. The locations varied some were typical and others were deviant. This attracted the audience since it took place In many locations which made the opening more interesting. |
