It has the grand and expensive buildings around the centre of the city, such as the temples and sacred areas. The market centre in the middle and then as u go further out it turns into the commoner's small simple housing. |

How did they get their material? | Since, Tenochititlan was built on a marshy area they couldn't farm any food or cotton. Therefore, Montezuma the Second introduced the tribute system, where neighbouring suburbs had to provide supplies as tax. |
What are some necessary items that Tenochititlan received as tax? | They received 7000 tonnes of corn, 4000 tonnes of beans, 4000 tonnes of amaranth (used for religious purposes) and 200 thousand cotton cloaks. |
