ANIMAL CELL What is the Cytoplasm? The gel like substance which all the cell organelles are suspended in and most of the cells chemical reactions occur here.
ANIMAL CELL What is Mitochondria? Carries out the aerobic respiration
ANIMAL CELL What is the Nucleus? The Nucleus holds the genetic material, chromosomes and genes. Controls the activities in the cell as genes govern the making of proteins, including enzymes.
ANIMAL CELL What are Ribosomes? Where the amino acids are assembled into proteins.
ANIMAL CELL What is the Cell Membrane? Controls the entry and exit of substances into and out of a cell.
PLANT CELL What is the Nucleus? Contains the genetic material of the PLANT
PLANT CELL What is the Cytoplasm? Chemical processes take place here
PLANT CELL What is the Cell Membrane? Controls the movement of substances in and out the cell.
PLANT CELL What does the Cell Wall do? Strengthens and supports the cell. The Cell Wall is made from cellulose.
PLANT CELL What is the Vacuole? Helps keep the cell turgid.
