| Question | Answer |
| Two-term ratio | Compares 2 quantities measured in the same units. Written as = a:b, a to b |
| Three-term ratio | Compares 2 quantities measured in the same units. Written as = a:b:c, a to b to c |
| Part-to-part ratio | Compares different parts of a group to each other. Ex. 10:8 is the part-to-prat ratio of brown to red beads |
| Part-to-whole ratio | Compares 1 part of a group to the whole group. Ex. 5:23 is the part-to-whole ration of blue to total number of beads |
| Rate | Compares 2 quantities measured in different units. Ex. $1.69 per 100 g $1.69/100 g |
| Unit rate | A rate in which the second term is one. Ex. 20 km/h 64 beats/min |
| Unit price | Used when shopping. Often shown per 100 g or per 100 mL. |
| Proportion | A relationship that says that 2 ratios or 2 rates are equal. Can be written as a fraction. Ex. 2km/3h = 6km/9h |
