Question Answer
What are the three methods of defining? 1. Defining by Synonym 2. Defining by Example 3. Defining by genus and difference
What is the problem with defining by synonym? Many words do not have exact synonyms.
What is the problem by defining by example? It is very ambiguous. Unless you have a lot of variation in your examples, the view of that object is going to be very limited.
