| Define the ANALOGY & RELATED DEVICES essay. | In comparing two things, use the one to explain the other. |
| Define the CLASSIFICATION essay. | Makes a point by dividing the parts of the subject into categories. |
| Define the PROCESS ANALYSIS essay. | Shows how something happens or how something is done. |
