Define the DESCRIPTION essay. | Recreates for the reader, through the most vivid language possible, your own or another person's experience with the subject. |
Define the CAUSE & EFFECT essay. | Explains by showing how one situation or event causes another. |
Define the COMPARISON & CONTRAST essay. | Explains by showing how two things are like or unlike each other. |
Define the ANALOGY & RELATED DEVICES essay. | In comparing two things, use the one to explain the other. |
Define the CLASSIFICATION essay. | Makes a point by dividing the parts of the subject into categories. |
Define the PROCESS ANALYSIS essay. | Shows how something happens or how something is done. |
